LG to Launch New UltraGear Gaming Monitors Featuring Authentic 5K Resolution

LG is set to unveil three new UltraGear gaming monitors at CES 2026, including a true 5K display. These models feature AI upscaling to enhance visuals, promising higher resolution without GPU upgrades.
LG is gearing up to introduce three new top-tier 5K UltraGear gaming displays, with one boasting genuine 5K resolution. The company has revealed that at CES 2026 next month, it will present the monitors, two of which are 39-inch and 52-inch ultrawide models with 5K2K resolution, alongside a 27-inch MiniLED flat screen. As we approach 2026, the new 27-inch and 39-inch monitors will feature a significant AI aspect: integrated AI upscaling. LG promotes this as a means to achieve higher-resolution visuals without the need for a GPU upgrade, though I remain skeptical it will match the quality of technology like DLSS 4.
